I am a graduate of Michigan State University, where I received a BA in Zoology / Environmental Biology in 1994. I began my career with NRCS as an Earth Team Volunteer in East Lasing, Michigan then transitioned to the student SCEP program. Upon graduation, I was a Soil Conservationist in Cheboygan, Michigan I worked in various offices in Michigan. In 2003, I entered the Peace Corps to serve as an Environmental Education volunteer in Puerto Escondido, Dominican
Republic. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer until 2005.  I have also been a District Conservationist in the Grand Haven, MI field office. Currently, I am an Assistant State Conservationist- Field Operations (Basin Team Leader) for the Central Coast and Upper Willamette and South West Basins in Tangent, Oregon.
I have enjoyed getting to meet and connect more with WIN members, Federal Women’s Program Managers, and other NRCS staff.

I have participated in the “In it to WIN it” teleconferences, provided Regional Rep notes to the executive committee on actions that I have taken as regional rep. I have participated in the WIN barrier assessment and look forward to working to finalize that. As a member in the West, I have also promoted the 2019 conference and have actively recruited NRCS volunteers.

There are so many great projects going on with WIN and so many more possibilities. I look forward to expanding our WIN membership and provide the assistance, help, and resources that our members are wanting.
