The West Regional Representative covers Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Hawaii, Guam, & all other Pacific Islands.  

Julie is the Partnership Liaison for the NRCS in Portland, Oregon. She has been serving in this position since May, 2017. Julie has been with NRCS for over 34 years. She has worked in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Oregon and held positions as a soil conservation aide, soil conservationist, district conservationist and state public affairs specialist with NRCS. Additionally Julie held positions in county government as a County Conservationist, Land Use Plumbing II Inspector, and an Ag Teacher. Julie grew up on a 550 acre farm in south-west Wisconsin. The farm consisted of a cow calf operation and a hog operation and numerous conservation practices. This is where she learned conservation practices and respect for the land. The farm has been in the family for over years. Julie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. She has two adult aged children. In her spare time Julie enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, piano, photography, reading, and working out. Julie is also an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badgers fan.


Serving as the West region representative for WiN is a way for Julie to give back. Over the years she has been blessed with family, friends, and co-workers that have helped her along in her career. She looks forward to giving back.
