Hello, I'm Annette Holmes
My career began in 2000 as a Soil Conservationist in Knox County, Illinois. My 21-year career has provided me to service 54 counties throughout Illinois in various roles as a Soil Conservationist, District Conservationist and Assistant State Conservationist. I am currently the Assistant State Conservationist – Field Operations that covers 26 counties in west-central Illinois and has held this position for 10 years. I completed the Emerging Leadership Development Program (ELDP) in 2013, has served on in state and out of state detail assignments, various committees and cadres, and is member of various professional organizations. She also serves as a mentor in the USDA Mentoring Program.
As a member of WiN, I watched this professional organization grow and wanted to be more involved. I am looking forward to a great opportunity to connect more with the WiN members in the Midwest and to encourage others to grow in their careers.
