I started my career with NRCS in 2003 in Henderson, Texas as a Soil Conservationist. After one year, I was transferred to Franklin, Texas. In both service centers, I worked with local land owners writing conservation plans and completing practice inspections. In 2005, I received a promotion as the Transfer Technology Specialist in the Corpus Christi Area Office. My work duties included training field staff on conservation tools used for conservation planning and contract development. While in Corpus Christi, I met my husband and we were married in 2008.
Four months after the wedding, I received a position as the State Toolkit Coordinator for West Virginia. In 2010, my husband and I welcomed our son into our family. While we have enjoyed our time in West Virginia, Texas called us back home. I recently accepted a promotion in the Conservation Planning and Technical Assistance Division on the Conservation Planning Branch in Fort Worth, Texas. I look forward to the new adventures in my position as the well as the experience with WiN.
