1st Annual NOPHNRCSE, WiN, & APIO Leadership & Technical Training

The National Organization of Professional Hispanic NRCS Employees (NOPHNRCSE), the National Organization of Professional Women in NRCS (WiN) and the Asian Pacific Islander Organization (APIO), in partnership with NEDC, will provide five (5) training courses to educate NRCS employees on multiple aspects of management, supervision, civil rights, and extending outreach to producers. NOPHNRCSE, WIN and APIO will hold NEDC training courses from March 13-16, 2017, in Grapevine, Texas. The courses we will be offering are:


1. Managing for Excellence

2. Supervising for Excellence

3. Civil Rights for Program Delivery

4. Improving Conservation Delivery for Women Landowners and Producers

5. Working Effectively with Asian Producers



Immediately following the NEDC training courses, NOPHNRCSE, WiN and APIO are partnering to sponsor and host technical training sessions from March 17-18, 2017, in Grapevine, Texas. The offerings are:


1. Special Emphasis Program Managers (SEPM)

2. Engineering Tools

3. Soil Health Workshops

4. Conservation Planning Tools

5. Leadership Training

WiN Scholarships Available:

WIN scholarships are open to any member in good standing, for the purpose of aiding the professional growth and furthering member education. Awarded applicants will receive reimbursement not to exceed $500.00. More information and instructions can be found here:
