I started my career with NRCS in 1993 as a Biology Coop student. I worked for NRCS for 2 summers while attending college and started with the agency full time in 1995 after graduating from
NDSU. I worked as a Biologist in 5 different NRCS Field Offices across North Dakota. In 1999 I took a Biologist position with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at Audubon National Wildlife
Refuge. While working for U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service I attended The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia. After completing the training I took on collateral
duties as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the Service. It was a great learning experience for me. In 2005 I had the opportunity to return to NRCS as the Area Biologist at the NRCS
Area Office in Dickinson North Dakota. I am currently in this position and enjoy working with the NRCS Field Offices across western North Dakota.
I served as the Federal Women’s Program Manager for North Dakota from 2010 to 2013. During that time WiN was just getting formed. It is exciting to see how it has developed since that time.
