Section 9.02.2 Length of Term
Regional Representatives serving on the National Council are elected for a four -year term. National Council regional representatives may serve up to two consecutive terms. Officers serving the organization as Treasurer and Secretary are elected for a four-year term and may serve two consecutive terms within one office or several offices. In case of vacancy, a replacement officer or regional representative shall be appointed by the President with concurrence from the majority of the National Council. Such appointee will serve only for the duration of the unexpired term of her/his predecessor. The terms of the newly elected officers shall commence January 1, following the election. No one person will serve more than eight consecutive years. Any Officer of the National Council may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.
The position of President is successive over the four year term. The Vice-President is elected annually and serves a one one-year term as Vice-President and then succeeds into the office of Executive Vice-President for a one-year term. The Executive Vice-President then succeeds into the office of President, serves for a one-year term, and then succeeds into the office of Past-President for a one-year term.
