Hello WiN Members!
I am excited and honored to serve as your President for 2026. My journey with WiN began in 2019, and this organization has become a cornerstone of my professional life. As a Lifetime Member, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many of you on the scholarship and conference planning committees, seeing firsthand the dedication that drives our mission forward.
When I’m not working with our incredible members, I’m usually seeking adventure in the great outdoors. Living in New Hampshire with my husband, Matthew, and dog, Weasel, I try to take full advantage of everything the Northeast has to offer - mountain biking through the woods, hiking a new trail, rock-climbing, or skiing.
I often say that WiN has provided me with a community of professionals who share my passions and understand the unique challenges and triumphs of conservation. I love WiN because of the way this village surrounds its members with support. I’ve seen how mentorship and training can transform a career path, and I want to ensure those opportunities reach every one of you.
This year, I want to focus on a theme that is close to my heart: exploring leaders at all levels. Leadership isn't just a job title or a grade level; it is a mindset. Whether you are a student intern, a field office employee, or a national office employee, you have unique opportunities of influence. My goal for this term is to highlight those diverse voices and ensure that WiN continues to provide the professional development and networking tools needed to empower leaders in every corner of the NRCS.
Whether you are a long-time member or just joining us, I encourage you to lean into this community. Get involved, attend our sessions, and recognize the leader within yourself. I look forward to a year of growth, conservation, and community with all of you.
Warmly,
Jessica Rock
2026 WiN President
