2021 President’s Message

I want to welcome each and every one of you to Win in 2021. I look forward to working with all of you to implement our mission and vision.

Women in NRCS (WiN) has continued to be a strong and very effective employee organization over the last few years. That is in large part due to our diverse membership and volunteers of NRCS and FPAC employees. Our diversity is of current employees and retirees. WiN is open to all employees regardless of gender, race, color, sexual orientation, national origin, or religion.

WiN relies on our diverse membership to help implement actions on our various committees. WiN continues to have many projects that need membership support and leadership. Please reach out to your regional representatives or me if you want to contribute your gifts or talents to help in the WiN Mission and goals:

Mission: To provide women with training, opportunities, and mentoring to develop into their fullest professional potential.

Vision: High performing, diverse, innovative, and motivated female employees who transform the workplace.

You may also be contacted via email from our committee chairs to ask for your assistance as well. It takes a village to help all our WiN members.

The COVID Pandemic, teleworking remotely, social and physical distance, our children in virtual schools has been challenging for many. The WiN community is here to support you in any way. Many times, that could be sharing your challenges with another WiN member. Connection is important for us and for our community health.

As your President in 2021 I have priorities that I will be focusing in on.

  • Working with the WIN National Council and volunteers to complete the next 5-year WIN Strategic Plan and incorporating the WIN members May 2020 survey comments into area WIN members would like WIN to focus on.

  •  Working with WIN National Council and Committee chairs to complete the 2021 WIN Business Plan.

  •  Such items will focus on mentoring,

  •  Website updates

  •  Utilizing various forms of communication methods with WIN members

  •  “In it to Win It” personal development events

  •  Scholarships

  •  Regional membership zoom connection events.

Ensuring that WiN is welcoming organization and continue to support and environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive for all members. Please feel free to reach out to me heather@winnrcs.org if you have any questions or comments.

I look forward to working with you all. Lifting each other up as we climb.

Respectfully,

Heather Medina Sauceda
